The Tap: ElektroNight Taking Cairo by Storm

Last month witnessed the rebirth of The Tap’s signature night ‘ElektroNight’ which hosts an international DJ every Thursday at The TapWest. On the first ‘ElektroNight’ Greece-based, Canadian-born sensation Heavy Pins put on one hell of a performance that laid out the path for an electrifying all-star lineup.

David Penn

Madrid-based David Penn, an icon in the Spanish electronic scene. A man having toured the best festivals and parties worldwide, David Penn has been named DJ Mag Spain’s Best House DJ five times, and he’s known for pulling astounding public performances. It’s not every day that a man of his stature performs in Egypt.

Kraak & Smaak

The musical production trio hailing from the town of Leiden, Netherlands, consists of Oscar de Jong, Mark Kneppers and Wim Plug. The three began recording in 2003. Their songs were played on the radio and were used in television shows and were nominated for Independent Music Awards for Best Album – Dance/Electronica, and MTV Europe Awards for Best Dutch and Belgian Act.

Kolombo

Olivier Grégoire AKA Kolombo is a prolific and well-renowned producer and DJ from Belgium.  Olivier mastered the art of modern production, and over the years has experimented with many dance music genres through various pseudonyms, leading to a huge discography that includes releases on some of the world’s finest electronic imprints.

Sharam Jey

The superstar German DJ is no stranger to the Egyptian party scene; he’s definitely one not to be missed, constantly traveling the globe headlining the coolest events. With a cacophony of different styles; Indie Dance, NuDisco, Deep House, Electronica, House, and Tech House, Sharam Jey always gives an impeccable performance.
