Summer Stars: Your July & August Forecast

By Maeri Frances

It’s holiday season, so why not take a peek at what the stars are up to and how things could play out for you. It’s a mixed bag, with water signs in particular enjoying Jupiter’s return to direct motion later in July. Throw in yet another Mercury retrograde a few days later and we all need to double and triple check those pesky little details. Apply that to car maintenance, travel plans, social media Apps and computers. Better to be safe than sorry.

P.S. Don’t forget, your rising sign plays a big role, so check that out as well if you know it.

Happy birthday,

Summer means sea and relaxation, especially for water signs, as it gives you a chance to replenish your energy. Jupiter is now going direct in your 5th house of love, kids, creative projects from the 10th of July and is giving you permission to let your hair down and have fun. A social get-together on the 12th could bring a bit of excitement and new faces into your life. Singles, take note!

Sparks could fly around the 2nd of August, this could be over money matters or joint resources. Domestic matters are well aspected from the 7th, maybe staying close to home beats travelling this summer?

July seems relatively quiet until the 9th, when mixed messages and a lack of clarity could upset your plans. If you are travelling on that date, make sure you have everything in order. Venus puts you in an acquisitive mood from the 10th, shopping will take on a new appeal. Consider yourself warned! Good news about a family matter or property could come around the same time; things that had stalled out may gather momentum.

Misunderstandings may crop up in August with Mercury retrograde. Try to stay cool around the 2nd when something or someone may really irritate you. Look forward to better days around the 18th and 19th.

Be content to play out your role in things quietly in the background and things will fall into place rather nicely this summer. There are some really stellar days tucked away for you, look at 22nd and 28th of July for a feel-good relationship with people you care about. Money matters are more upbeat during August, but you will also be more easily tempted to splurge your hard-earned Piasters. The rather difficult period at the beginning of August may impact your health, so don’t take unnecessary risks. Things around the workplace could also be a bit tense then, so use your famed ability to see things in the correct light rather than throwing yourself into the fray.

The past few months may have held a few challenges, especially on the domestic front, but try to get past that and make the most of the holiday mood. Catch up with friends, and even make holiday plans together. You need to reconnect a bit. With Mercury retrograde it will pay to double-check all arrangements, however. August brings Venus into your sign, so it is a great time to revamp your appearance with a few new items or a fresh look.  You will feel better about yourself and that will help in your closest relationships, of course.

Jump on board the general good mood on the 1st and 2nd of June. Planets in Cancer are urging you to nourish yourself emotionally, in spite of duty-driven Capricorn energy still being a dominant force. Venus will soar into your solar 10th house this month, putting you in the spotlight, especially when it comes to career and outward achievements. Make sure you are looking your best, as a stylish appearance will garner extra points. The 18th and 19th could call on you to temper idealism with commonsense in a romantic situation.

Put on your thinking cap and come up with some budget-friendly ways to make the most of vacation season without maxing the credit cards. You love the outdoor vibe, so why not get into a new sporting activity near the sea? Keep things simple this year, summer doesn’t have to be about big parties and crazy nights. Check out less crowded locations, and team up with a few close friends to create your own scene. One word of caution, try to avoid road trips in the first few days of August, who needs the crowds and the aggravation, right?

This may not go down as one of the easiest years in history for you, but you should be able to take stock and feel a real sense of accomplishment. Now it is time to spend time on nurturing yourself and spending time with the people you have been ignoring a bit too much recently. Yes, family and your closest buddies. The 22nd and 28th of July have potential for romantic interludes, so keep them bookmarked as special date nights with your special person.

Can’t live with them and can’t live without them. That seems to sum up the role others play in your life this summer. You need to take some time out to deal with matters that have been put on your mental back-burner. Find time for meditation and a bit of soul searching. A trip to a different culture could be the breath of fresh air you need, or if that is out of range, at least some reading on new topics to blow away a few cobwebs. The first week of August may be challenging, so let off steam in a positive way with some balanced exercise. Tai chi, anyone?

Get yourself down to the beach. Any beach will do. It is your most reliable solution for anything that ails you. Throw in a few trashy (or not) novels, a cool beverage or two and life’s little problems will drift away. July should offer plenty of chances to do just that, and by August, when your tan is looking its best, you can focus on looking your sensual self. Singles alert, this is a great time to meet new faces. Summer flings may be just that, but overall, this is the best year you have had for a while.

The first half of July seems to fit your laid-back mood. You need time to recoup your energy and get ready for an August full of fun. You could still be busy on the work front, or caught up with routine matters. Things pick up speed by the 3rd week, and August offers a welcome boost to your love life. If you are already in a committed relationship you can expect to have a lot of good vibes flowing your way. Singles may find themselves meeting people who are one the same wavelength, so put on your best smile and get out there and mingle. Finances may have their ups and downs, so be careful not to splash out on impulse purchases.

Family and domestic matters may conflict with your career objectives, as July gets under way. Don’t let frustration get the better of you, be patient and keep your goals in sight. By the 10th you will have a lot more opportunities to enjoy the company of friends, party and relax.  Venus will support your hedonistic side for the coming few weeks, so plan accordingly. You might verge on being lazy, so make time for a bit of exercise. Hit the dance floor, walk to the latest spot for dinner instead of hopping in the car. You are in the mood for change, and August may bring new faces into your life to bring it your way.

Don’t feel that you are missing out if July doesn’t offer a true holiday vibe, the rewards for putting in a solid day’s work will pay off in spades. Then you can have fun when August rolls around.  Your social life should be great, with plenty of time to catch up with old friends and make some new ones. Things are rather volatile around the 2nd of August, if you want to avoid spats it’s best to keep it zipped rather than speaking up. Once that mood is out of the way you should be on track for a rather pleasant month.
