10 Things Men Do that Women Hate

Things Men Do that Women Hate

By: Mariam Elhamy

Let’s face it, men do a lot of things that piss off women. Starting with being smug, controlling, excessively jealous and the list goes on. Guys, this one is for you! Find out some of the things you do that your girl might secretly dislike but won’t tell you about it.

1. Not Making a Move

Some women don’t mind making the first move but if a man doesn’t have the guts to make the next one she’ll be disappointed, especially cause she spurred up the courage to make that first move. A woman likes to know that you’re serious about her so if she feels that you’re not making any effort she’ll back out not to hurt herself.

2. Not Looking at Her While She’s Talking

Guys who think it’s okay to stare at someone or something else while a girl is talking to them is very offensive. It automatically translates that you’re checking out someone else or that something is more important than what she’s saying.

3. Trying to Control Her

Women hate it when a man tries to control her life, her friends, her career and her decisions. She wants to feel equally independent and not held back to explore her own path. There’s a thin line between trying to protect someone and trying to control them. Watch out for excessive jealousy, it’s such a deal breaker so don’t over-do it.

Things Men Do that Women Hate

4. No Attention to Details

When she does her hair or wears something new, notice that and compliment her. Women get really frustrated when men don’t notice the small things they do especially if it took them a lot of effort/money/guts.

Things Men Do that Women Hate

5. Lying

And this is a big one. Some men might lie about small things because they think it will upset women. It upsets them even more to know that you’re lying so be honest. Even if she gets mad you can always make it up to her.Things Men Do that Women Hate

6. Having Zero Aspiration

Women find a guy with no future plans, dreams or aspirations very unattractive. A man should be able to take care of and provide for his family. Don’t be immature or lazy with no desire to succeed and always live up to your promises!

Things Men Do that Women Hate

7. Not Wanting to Have Fun

Girls just wanna have fun! A woman will want to go out, travel, try new things and have a good time. If you always want to stay in and chill she’ll find someone else to do it with.

8. Being Smug

Confidence is a very attractive quality, but too much confidence is a total turnoff. When men keep bragging about their cars, house, money, etc.. It completely dries off the conversation.

9. Always being on your Phone and Ignoring her Messages

Seriously don’t do that! It pisses women off when they’re expressing their thoughts or feelings and deep into a serious conversation and you start checking your phone. It’s also disrespectful and plain rude to always be on your phone and ignore her messages or take too long to reply.

Things Men Do that Women Hate

10. Not Talking about your Feelings

Men are not as open as women about how they feel and they tend to bury it down instead of expressing it or dealing with it. Women really appreciate a man who is not afraid to talk about how he feels, it makes her feel very special to be the only person that knows what’s behind the surface.

6 Types of People you Shouldn’t Date

People you Shouldn't Date

By: Mariam Elhamy

Heads up! These 6 people are traps you don’t want to fall into. The clingy, the possessive, the unhappy, the narcissist, the overly dramatic and the unambitious. All these people are ticking timebombs that will only mess up your life. Here’s how you can easily identify them.

The Clingy

They call you constantly, they need you all the time because they can’t do anything on their own. They’re very insecure, always thinking that they’re not good enough and you’re gonna leave them so they overcompensate a lot. They always expect or do huge romantic gestures and they love PDA so if you’re a person who appreciates their privacy and personal space avoid this type because you’ll feel suffocated in the relationship.People you Shouldn't Date

The Unhappy

They’re always frowning and never seem to be in a good mood. They’re never satisfied with anything and totally hate their life without a good reason. If you date someone who’s in love with their misery to try to make them happy they’ll only bring you down with them. They also probably haven’t gotten over their ex or some kind of traumatic or toxic relationship in their past and this will have a huge weight on your relationship.

The Narcissist

They’re self-obsessed, they judge everyone around them and they are very selfish. They’re obviously insecure about their self-image and they’re always trying to hide or change something about them. Trying to please this kind of person is draining because they are perfectionists and they’ll want you to look and act the part too. They’re not empathetic, they’re rude to others and they don’t care about anyone other than themselves. They also never admit they’re wrong or accept their mistakes.People you Shouldn't Date

The Overly Dramatic

They LOVE DRAMA. They’re very high-maintenance and make a big deal out of literally EVERYTHING! They always need comforting and a lot of attention. It’s exhausting to be around them and you’ll feel like you always need a break from all the drama.

The Possessive

They’ve disconnected you from all your friends so you rarely see them anymore. They want you to spend time with them only and they’ve probably asked you to unfriend or even block some friends on Facebook. They rarely wanna go out or be around many people and they’re incredibly jealous of everyone and anyone that comes near you. A piece of advice? RUN!

The Unambitious

They don’t have any dreams or aspirations. They’re content with where they are and they never aim to grow or improve themselves. They’re afraid to try new things or get out of their comfort zone. They don’t make an effort in anything they do and they wait for things to just happen. When it’s time to act they’ll make tons of excuses instead of taking action.

9 Ways to Know if this is the One

9 Ways to Know if this is the One

By: Mariam Elhamy

“I knew they were the love of my life the minute they walked in the door”… This kind of stuff only happens in sappy love stories and fairytales. It’s so hard to know whether the person you’re with is actually the one or whether you can spend the rest of your life with them. We can’t guarantee to give you the answer but we’ll give you a few pointers on how to tell if the relationship is going somewhere.

1. You Spend a Lot of Quality Time Together.

You spend a lot of time together even if there’s nothing much to do. You’re always excited to see them and listen to their silly stories and lame jokes.

2. You’ve Met Their Friends and Family.

You’ve both met each other’s family and friends and they never make you feel uncomfortable. They always talk about how cute you are together (even if it’s awkward).

3. You See Them in your Future Plans.

You’ve talked about your future plans and dreams and you can totally imagine or fit them in the picture.

4. You Miss Them… A Lot.

You think about them often throughout your day when you’re apart and imagine all the things you want to do with them.

5. You Always Explore New Activities Together.

You end up enjoying the activities you never really liked because you’re doing it with them and because they like it. You don’t mind trying new things together.

6. They Know How to Handle Your Bad Days.

They know how to pick you up when you’re down and make you feel better. They never get tired of listening to you and opening up about their own problems.

7. They Have Your Back.

They support and encourage your dreams. They’re always happy when you succeed even if your success outweighs theirs. They’re not afraid to tell you the truth about what they think of your work.

8. You’re Not Afraid to Spend Time Apart.

Part of being in a healthy relationship is actually spending time apart whether alone or with other people. Maintaining your other relationships/career is a good sign of a balanced long term relationship.

9. Your Arguments Bring you Closer Not Apart.

Fighting is healthy, but only when done the right way. It’s so hard for a couple in a heated argument to focus on actually solving the problem instead of blaming the other person, especially if they’re used to this toxic approach with their family. If you know how to deal with your partner in fights instead of running away and throwing the relationship in the gutters, then you know you can overcome anything together.

Having doubts and second-guessing the relationship is 100% healthy. It’s normal to not be absolutely sure about the one you’re going to spend the rest of your life with. But you should always trust your gut feeling, if you feel that something isn’t right open up about it with your partner and communicate your feelings so that you can build a stronger relationship that will last.

7 Signs He’s Not Actually Into You

7 Signs He's Not Actually Into You

By: Mariam Elhamy

Wondering whether he’s actually interested? Maybe he acts this way with all his friends. How can you tell if he actually likes you without asking him directly and embarrassing yourself? Here’s your guide for a few signs he’s not interested to watch out for.

Sign #1

No Eye Contact

If a guy likes you he’ll smile and make a lot of eye contact. He’s consistent with his compliments and he’ll be giving you all his attention. You might even catch him staring at you a few times.

Sign #2

You’re Not a Priority

He doesn’t contact you first or make any effort to see you and his replies are short and bland, at other times he flirts and wants to hang out. You don’t want someone who will only see you if he has no better plans or options.

Sign #3

Your Feelings are not Acknowledged

Whenever you talk about how you feel or bring up your relationship he acts like he has no clue what you’re talking about. He’ll even change the subject or be vague about it.

Sign #4

He’s Not Ready for a Relationship

Most guys are usually not ready for a real relationship and they’re afraid of commitment. If he says that he’s not ready then he’s not ready. If he really likes you he’ll want to be with you and he’ll be ready.

Sign #5

His Friends Have no Clue About you

If he never mentions you to his friends even though you’ve met them a few times then he’s not thinking about you. If they still don’t know your name then it’s a big sign!

Sign #6

He’s not Touchy-Feely

If he touches your hands and shoulders, tucks your hair behind your ear or tries to be as close to you as he can when you’re together then he’s definitely interested. If he’s not he’ll be sitting back and not closing the proximity between you.

Sign #7

He’s Giving you the Meh Attitude

Does he seem absent and is always checking his phone? His vibe is nonchalant most of the time? If he really likes you, you’ll take all his attention while you’re together.

You’ll know when a guy likes you because men have a harder time hiding it than women. But don’t be mistaken between someone who’s trying to be nice and someone who’s actually interested.

Matarma Bay Beach Hotel – A Blissful Destination in Ras Sudr

Located at just 20 km South of Ras Sudr —In between Cairo and Sharm El Sheikh— Matarma Bay is the perfect spot for adrenaline junkies, beach lovers, and people looking to relax, offering a bit of everything to accommodate everyone. However, one of its main attractions is watersports as the resort city sits along crystal clear turquoise waters and yellow sandy beaches.

matarma bayMatarma Bay caters to all group sizes, family, and friends with 44 sea-view rooms and lovely outdoor areas, delicious cuisine, and a 10 minute-drive from all kitesurfing and activity centers in Ras Sudr.

Owner Ali Awadi tells us how he, as a kitesurfer, used to always have accommodation problems when visiting Ras Sudr as he and his friends would have great kiting sessions but then struggle to find a suitable place to stay. They would only find either small spaces, shared bathrooms, or unpleasant buildings. Mr Awadi was inspired to provide visitors of the area a nice and clean place to stay, and he built Matarma Bay starting with only 18 rooms and it went from there.

Activities:

Matarma Bay provides a wide range of activities, especially that its location is a hub for wind-driven water sports. Courses and lessons (all levels are welcome) for kayaking, stand-up paddling, windsurfing, kite-surfing, wakeboarding, and sailing are all on offer.

It is also a space for wellness retreats as many yoga and team-building sessions happen there as well as big events such as weddings.

Since it is very family-based, there are also play-areas and water sports lessons for children.

Food:

A restaurant serves international cuisine for breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner. There is also a beach bar serving refreshing drinks with a view.

If you are thinking of visiting Ras Sudr, then Matarma Bay is the place to stay. The best months to visit are September, October, November, April, May, and June; however, it is open all year long so just call to make a booking.

Discover Egypt & Create Content Through VISGO

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but having new eyes.” ~ Marcel Proust

The richness of any travel experience depends on so many elements, the people you meet, the places you see, and the background knowledge that makes it all fall into place somehow. That is where Visgo comes in, with an app that immerses you in the history in a unique and entertaining way. We caught up with founder Mohamed Ahmed to get the full story.

CWM: How did you come up with the idea and how does it work?

MA: Growing up in Aswan, which is a rich city when it comes to heritage and history, most of us take this heritage for granted as you literally pass by it every day, but luckily, I was given the opportunity to study heritage management at Universität zu Köln and developed a new appreciation.

When I was back in Aswan, I took a group of foreign friends to explore the temple of Philae but I found out that the existing ways to explore new places like tour-guides or guide books were not always interesting. I saw a real need for a new, convenient and fun way for travelers to explore these places and learn their stories. The Visgo App was born, to provide travelers with immersive location-based audio guides.

What does it offer in terms of information to travelers that they can’t find elsewhere?

What’s different about Visgo is that we focus on the aspect of experiencing. We try not just to give the information about a place but to story tell, we develop a unique story for each place, use professional voice actors and tailored sound effects to bring these places back to life as if the walls could speak. So, taking a Visgo audio guide would feel like just walking around in a movie.

What languages will the audios be available in?

Currently, all our audio guides are available in English but we are adding more languages like Arabic and German soon.

How can people participate?

Soon we are launching Visgo Studio which is a platform where all kinds of content creators can create their location-based audio guides and generate income while doing it.

So, if you are a food blogger for example you could use Visgo Studio and create a food audio tour for your city and then publish it on Visgo App for people to buy and experience it.

What has been covered so far?

Now available on Visgo App are the pyramids of Giza, Cairo Citadel, Al Muezz Street, and Coptic Cairo, and we are adding 7 more audio guides all over Egypt in September.

What areas of Egypt do you plan to cover?

We are planning not just to cover famous monuments but also the other aspects that few speak of, like in our audio guide for Zamalek district or downtown Cairo and even the intangible aspects of culture with food audio tours and even shopping audio walks. We have plans to cover the whole MENA region as there are a lot of places across the region that we could produce audio guides for.

And with Visgo Studio for content creators the possibilities of what we can cover are endless.
