Evidence suggests that some supplements can enhance health in different ways. The most popular nutrient supplements are multivitamins, calcium and vitamins B, C and D. Calcium supports bone health, and vitamin D helps the body absorb calcium. Vitamins C and E are antioxidants—molecules that prevent cell damage and help to maintain health. People take these supplements to make sure they get enough essential nutrients and to maintain or improve their health. Whether you are looking forward a hypertrophy “bulking” or a trimmer shape, taking supplements increases your anabolism which will help you reach your target body shape.

Because supplements are regulated as foods, not as drugs, the FDA doesn’t evaluate the quality of supplements or assess their effects on the body. If a product is found to be unsafe after it reaches the market, the FDA can restrict or ban its use. Products sold internationally in stores and online where you usually shop should be fine, pharmaceutical ingredients are herbal remedies promoted for weight loss and athletic performance enhancement.

Here are our top rated supplements:

Supplements have a range of effects on our body and our health; they can be used as meal replacements or snacks. Recently most professional athletes have concluded that supplements have individual differences. That means they are not going to give you the same results as one another. Supplements become more than just a pill and powder that taken regularly or occasionally. They play an essential role in a ‘health and fitness’ life-style.

The Revenant: ‘Leo’s beautiful endurance test’

Inspired by true events and Michael Punke’s novel of the same name, The Revenant, Oscar winner Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s follow-up to Birdman, chronicles the almost unimaginable ordeal of fur trapper Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio), who was mauled by a bear and left for dead by his men in the frozen wilderness of 1823 America … only to survive and then seek his revenge. Hugh Glass was basically a real-life Chuck Norris joke — only no one thought it was very funny when he showed up half-dead and looking to kick some serious ass.

The film begins with a fur trapping expedition — led by Captain Henry (Domhnall Gleeson), whose members include the scout Glass, Glass’ half-Native American son Hawk (Forrest Goodluck), the scowling, self-interested trapper Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy), and young Jim Bridger (Will Poulter), who will one day become one of the Old West’s most legendary mountain men — coming under attack by a party of Arikara.

It’s a brutal battle that leaves the trappers in a bind where they have to abandon their highly valuable beaver pelts if they’re to escape the Arikara’s wrath and survive. The Arikara seek vengeance on the unidentified white men who have kidnapped their chief’s (Duane Howard) daughter. As the trappers make their escape, Glass is attacked and horribly mauled by a grizzly (in one of the film’s most unforgettable sequences). Captain Henry assigns Fitzgerald and Bridger to stay with the seemingly doomed Glass and give him a proper burial once he dies. Alas, the duo don’t follow their orders and leave Glass to die. What follows is a long, brutal journey of both physical and emotional endurance by Glass to exact his revenge.

The Revenant has triumphed at this year’s Golden Globes, winning the night’s most coveted prize for best dramatic film.

Leading man Leonardo DiCaprio won best actor in a drama, while Alejandro G Inarritu won for its direction.

“This film is about survival, it was about adaptation, it was about triumph of the human spirit, but more than anything it was about trust.”

– Leonardo DiCaprio

HOW TO GET THE PERFECT POUT

Cupid is coming this February, which means it’s time to get your lips perfectly pouty. We’ve gathered five foolproof rules to getting your smoothest, softest and most kissable lips ever.

  1. Exfoliate:

Not only does exfoliating make your lips soft, it also preps them for lipstick. Exfoliate your lips by either using an old toothbrush, or a face scrub. Also a commonly used home treatment is by mixing a teaspoon of honey with a teaspoon of salt and sugar, combining the ingredients into a paste. Apply the mixture to your lips and then scrub.

  1. Avoid licking your lips:

When our lips feel dry, a common reaction is to lick them. Turns out, that’s not particularly the best thing to do. Most estheticians suggest that when lips are moist on the surface from your saliva, they attract moisture from deep within the skin and will evaporate into the dry air through osmosis. The best way to fix and heal dry cracked lips is to use a condition lip balm and apply it throughout the day.

  1. Block them:

It tastes a little funny, but using SPF will prevent your lips from getting dry and sunburned, as well as your entire face to prevent tan lines and protect your skin.

4.Slick them:

Once you’ve removed your makeup at night and your skin is fresh and slightly damp after towel drying, apply a rich, night-time moisturizer to your skin and an even richer balm on your lips. This is especially key if your bedroom is air-conditioned or warm due to heaters. Internal hydration is also very important for your skin, so be sure to drink lots of water.

  1. Stay neutral:

We always think of bright red lips for Valentine’s Day, but that’s not the only option. Apply a creamy nude or pink shade, blot, then reapply for long-lasting colour that won’t make a mess. Avoid deep shades, especially glossy ones, they look too messy. Also, avoid matte lip colour and long-wearing formulations, both dry out your lips and don’t provide that lush look that is just right for your Valentine’s date.
