Lyfe’s Oaty Granola 
INGREDIENTS:
• 80g of Oats
• 60g Granola
• 100ml skimmed milk
• 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
• 150g of Homemade Greek
Yoghurt
• 1 teaspoon of ground coffee
• 1/2 banana or strawberry
(sliced)
• Handful of raw almonds
METHOD:
In a 390ml glass jar or bowl, layer the ingredients in order and enjoy a hearty snack!
Taboon’s Shawarma Sandwich 
Ingredients:
Meat seasoning
• 0.5 kg meat steak
• 2 cups vinegar
• 1 cup water
• 3 cloves of garlic
• 3 cloves cardamom
• Salt and black pepper
For the sandwich filling
• 0.5 kg chopped onion
• 2 chopped tomatoes
• 0.5 cup chopped parsley
• Arabic bread
Preparation:
Soak the meat with vinegar, water, cardamom, garlic, pepper and black pepper overnight in the refrigerator. Drain the beef, and sauté it in a hot pan with three tablespoons of oil. When cooked, remove from the heat, add the fresh tomato and parsley and use it to fill the Arabic bread.
Spring has sprung and many of us are hitting the gym, and trying to eat healthy in preparation for summer when beach bods will abound. With Easter officially inaugurating the start of spring, we thought we’d get a bit more acquainted with this holiday. Here are some interesting facts about Easter, followed by a healthy Easter inspired recipe to get you well on your way to a fit summer bod.
The words Sham El Nessim comes from a pharaoh who coined this holiday by the name of Shmore. He claimed that this day was “the beginning of time”, where day and night are exactly in equal. The word nessim was added afterwards because of the season’s change of weather.
Before making kids color eggs, ancient Egyptians used to write their wishes on eggs and hang them by their balconies and wait for the gods to make their wishes come true.
Easter egg hunts don’t have to be all about the sweets and candy! This year make it a memorable one by filling eggs with avocado guacamole.
Ingredients:
6 hard-boiled eggs*
2 ripe avocados
1 tablespoon lime (or lemon) juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sour cream (skip if you prefer dairy-free)
1 tablespoon chopped cilantro (plus several leaves for garnish)
1 Serrano pepper or ½ jalapeño chili pepper, minced (include the seeds for more heat, leave them out for less)
1 tablespoon chopped chives or green onion
*To make hard boil eggs, place eggs in a saucepan and cover with at least one inch (or two) of cold water. Bring to a rolling boil. Turn off the heat, cover the pot, and let the eggs cook in the residual heat for 10-12 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water.
Preparation:
Carefully peel the hard boiled eggs and cut them in half lengthwise. Place them on a serving platter. Scoop out the cooked yolks and set aside.
Cut the avocados in half. Remove the pit. Scoop out the avocado flesh and place in a bowl. Roughly mash with a fork. Use your fingers to break up one or two of the cooked egg yolks (2 to 4 halves) over the mashed avocado. (Reserve the remaining egg yolks for another use.) Sprinkle with lime juice and salt, and stir in the sour cream. Stir in the chopped cilantro, Serrano or jalapeño Chili pepper, and chives.
Scoop a generous spoonful of the avocado mixture into each of the hard-boiled egg whites. Top with a small sprig of fresh cilantro or some chopped chives.

We are all aware that technology and innovation is making the unimaginable more achievable, and this has now extended into the field of plastic surgery. A patient can now walk away with a different look for their nose without undergoing a costly and time-consuming surgery in a hospital, all from the comfort of a clinic and in under an hour. We spoke with Dr. George Zaher FACS from Royal Clinic to learn more about this innovative new technique of tackling common nasal complaints.
CWM: What are some common complaints patients approach surgeons with?
Patients can be dissatisfied with the bridge of the nose, broad noses, bulbous tips, deviated nose, or droopy nasal tips. The good news is that most nasal problems can be corrected without surgery by using injectable fillers. Patients can overcome long-term post-operative hassles like swelling, discoloration, the effects of anesthetic and more.
What solutions can a non-surgical nose job offer?
Fillers can smooth the appearance of the bridge of the nose, for example. In some cases, it can help in lifting the tip of the nose if it is “dropped”, or if there is an inward rotation. Fillers can also help to create a camouflage to any deviation by injecting fillers into the hollow depressed areas. These are normally big problems patients face, not simple ones, and the ability to overcome them without surgery is an advanced intervention we have been able to offer in the field of modern plastic surgery.
It is also beneficial in terms of post-operative care. By opting for a non-surgical nose job, a patient minimizes common post-operative issues like not breathing through the nose, a week-long cast on the nose, and any bleeding as a result of surgery.
How long does the effect of non-surgical rhinoplasty last?
It depends on the filler itself, some can last 9 months, others 14 months and others can last up to a year and a half.
What should patients bear in mind when considering this procedure?
It is important to bear in mind that fillers augment the nose, they do not reduce the size. However, straightening the nose with fillers can make the nose appear smaller.
Another crucial point is that patients must undergo this procedure with a certified surgeon with experience specifically in rhinoplasty. The most dangerous area in the face is the nose, as it is full of nerves and veins. Any missteps can lead to serious life-altering issues like necrosis and gangrene if handled incorrectly.

The fastest way to say byebye to winter is to inject some serious color into your wardrobe. Bright colors were big on the runways, and they have filtered into the casual wear collections in the form of some pretty gorgeous trousers. Pair any of these with a simple top and you’re all set!
