The brand new restaurant for fine dining in Heliopolis brings the best of Europe and offers as a spot for a romantic dinner in Cairo. With dishes inspired by France, Italy, Spain, and many more, there is a chic dish on the menu to suit varying tastes. We visited this chic Heliopolis eatery on a weekend to scope out what they have on offer.

Marlyn’s is a European inspired restaurant bringing you joyful picks of the best European cuisine dishes. Signature drinks include Marlyn’s Perfect Poached Eggs, Marlyn’s Garden Pizza, and Marlyn’s Chicken.
Dishes and Drinks Sampled
Upon arrival, we sipped on fresh iced teas and complimentary bread and butter while deciding what to order. The iced teas were fresh and not too sweet, which was perfect for our late afternoon lunch. We were overwhelmed by the extensive menu and decided to start with a soup, salad, and starter to kick off our Marlyn’s European experience. The Traditional French Onion Soup came in a giant bread bowl and was topped with grated cheese. The soup was large enough for three people to share and filled with flavor. The Avocado and Shrimp Salad also came as a sizeable portion and was fresh and zesty with a house-made vinaigrette. The starter was a large cheese platter, à la charcuterie that featured four cheeses and sides of nuts, strawberries, and pesto. Each dish was far larger than we expected, and came beautifully presented. For mains, the manager helped us pick three main courses. Chicken Cordon Rose, Marlyn’s Chicken, and the Angus Beef. They were all delicious, with perfectly paired sides, and layers of flavor, but the signature chicken dish was above and beyond expectations.
For dessert, we opted for fancy drinks, the drink menu almost competes with the food menu at Marlyn’s so it was easy to choose something delicious. We had two virgin cocktails, a mint-lemonade, and a strawberry mojito. They came in hurricane glasses with fun twisty straws and garnishes. The fresh, fun, fruity drinks were a great way to digest a beautiful meal.
Other Menu Items that Appealed & Beverage Options
Breakfast items like Marlyn’s Perfect Poached Eggs and Parisian Petit Dejeuner are dishes that caught our eye for an earlier morning visit. Many Italian inspired dishes like the Risotto Ai Funghi, Spinach Ravioli, and the Chicken Pesto pizza also appealed.
There are over three pages of beverage options will keep any thirsty guest satisfied. The restaurant serves soft drinks, milkshakes, non-alcoholic cocktails, fresh juices, smoothies, iced teas, and an inclusive range of hot beverages.
Décor & Ambience
The restaurant is a large and bright space decorated with light pastel colors, flowers, and beautiful lights. The venue is two stories, with both indoor and outdoor seating, offering a European chic decor with a fresh and friendly vibe. The ambience is warm and inviting and gives clients a street-café-in-Paris feel.
