The holy month is upon us and we are truly ecstatic for all the spirituality and joy it brings us, and can’t wait for what Ramadan Tents hold in store for us this year in terms of musical acts. Luckily for us, we are fortunate to have a rich arsenal of musicians, bands, and artists in our beloved Cairo that give us top class performances that never fail to amaze and entertain.

Here is a list of few Ramadan performers that we all love:

Wust El Balad: Combining traditional Arabic music with a contemporary pop/alternative sound, Wust El Balad Is one of the most in-demand bands during Ramadan.

CairoKee: An Egyptian rock band that rose to fame after the 2011 revolution because of the socially relatable lyrics and politically critical message. The name CairoKee (Cairo-Kee) combines Cairo, the band’s hometown, and karaoke, representing their sing-along vibe, an aspect that makes their performances memorable to audiences.

Sharmoofers: Formed in 2012, an upbeat and ‘happy’ musical experience, a Sharmoofers concert is always positively charged and highly energized.

Massar Egbari: Hailing from Alexandria, Massar Egbari was formed in 2005. The band has been shaking the Arabic music scene with its’ progressive tunes and disruptive lyrics.

Mahmoud El Esseily: “Magnoona” one of Esseily’s top hits aptly describes an Esseily performance! The pop sensation has a unique raw and natural style, with incredibly realistic and sincere lyrics.

Hesham Abbas:  A legend in the Middle East and the world, this Egyptian pop singer has been at it for three decades and counting.

Hossam Hossny: Mostly known for his classic hit “Kol El Banat Bethbak”, Hosny is an act with a great nostalgic feeling, especially appealing to those who grew up in the 1990s.
