Melco-Mec Egypt Celebrates 20 Year Partnership with Mitsubishi Electric

Melco-Mec Egypt for elevators and escalators celebrated 20 years of partnership with Mitsubishi Electric corporation in a specular reception at the Marriott Mena House. The event was attended by Mitsubishi Electric Group president Mr. Yasuyuki Ito, Melco-Mec Egypt’s Chairman Eng. Mohamed Shawky, Melco-Mec General Manager Ms. Mehry Shawky, Mitsubishi Electric Group president Mr. Yasuyuki Ito, and dozens of dignitaries from the Japanese embassy including Ambassador Masaki Noke.

The event kicked off with a live performance by violinist Azmy Magdy, setting the mood for a festive evening. Melco-Mec Egypt General Manager Ms. Mehry Shawky expressed her gratitude for being able to experience a second decade of cooperation between Mitsubishi Electric and Melco-Mec, and promised a continued standard of service and products to all clients. Shawky also graciously thanked the fellow regional CEOs and esteemed guests from Japan who flew in from abroad to celebrate this special event, saying it gave the celebration “a special flavor”.

Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud Shawky, Melco-Mec’s Managing Director spoke of the humble origins of the company in 1983 with ten technicians on staff. Shawky proudly recounted how Melco-Mec has grown, expanded and learned so much over the past two decades. With the cooperation of Mitsubishi Electric, Melco-Mec has been able to achieve a higher and better quality with safer products.

H.E. Ambassador Masaki Noke took the stage and started his speech in Arabic, expressing his pleasure in regards to attending and celebrating the partnership between Mitsubushi and Melco-Mec.
