As we approach Ramadan, and in light of the giving spirit, Carrefour, owned and operated by Majid Al Futtaim in Egypt, is providing the public with easy and convenient opportunities to help their customers support their wider communities.

Carrefour celebrates this month by launching its Ramadan campaign under the official slogan of “Ramadan Kareem Bel Kheir with Carrefour”.

Throughout this campaign, Carrefour aims to become the go-to destination for all Ramadan engagements by launching four different initiatives, which include: “Kart El Kheir” (generosity card), “Sa3eit El Kheir” (generosity hour), “Double El Kheir”, and Ramadan Boxes. Through these initiatives, Carrefour will reward returning customers while also providing tools to support the wider community.

For “Sa3eit El Kheir”, an initiative launched mid-March, Carrefour selects a shopper at random to reward them with free groceries. Today, Carrefour has selected a total of 13 customers for this offer and 40 more are expected to be rewarded by the end of Ramadan. The Sa3eit El Kheir winners have expressed their appreciation and happiness towards the initiative.

Another activation Carrefour is introducing is “Kart El Kheir”, which was launched in partnership with the Egyptian Food Bank. This provides customers with the chance to purchase a meal card, priced at EGP 35, to help donate a warm meal during Iftar for underprivileged families across Egypt. Through this initiative, the Egyptian Food Bank has developed a designated food program that ensures all meals are delivered safely.

Carrefour has also made shopping a lot more rewarding this Ramadan by launching the “Double El Kheir” initiative, which provides MyClub app users with double the loyalty points with every purchase of Ramadan items.

Bringing back Carrefour’s popular Ramadan boxes packed with food essentials, customers will be able to buy one of two sizes, depending on their requirements. The boxes are priced at EGP 124.95 and EGP 64.95.

By introducing these initiatives, Carrefour aims to facilitate the donation process for their customers and wider community to help celebrate the spirit of the month – becoming the community-first retail hub.
