We spoke with beautiful makeup artist Aya Abdelhamid about fall and winter makeup trends to start practicing for the upcoming season.
“This season is all about colors and playing around with eyeliner shapes,” Aya told Cairo West. “Which is surprising because usually, we associate colors with summer.” But this year, popping colors and bold eye looks are making their way to fall and winter. Here is everything new and trendy in the makeup world that Aya Abdelhamid needs you to know.
Trendy looks and Techniques:
Move away face contour lovers, as this is the year of blushes, colorful lips, and creative eyeliner techniques.
The two in-style looks to experiment with are
- Double liners with colored eyeshadows or two-toned eyeshadow and eyeliners in creative and unique forms. You do not need to draw the liner on your lashline anymore, and you can make that wing as big and wide as you want.
- Glossy and nude eyeliner and rosy cheeks with bold lipstick are a big trend. Moving away from burgundy and red while focusing instead on pink and bright orange lipsticks.
Trendy Colors:
- Electric blue
- Peachy tones
- Popping pink
- Yellow
