Friday 20th February 2015 brings with it the unveiling of Arts-Mart The Gallery’s Alexandrian artist Ibrahim El Tanbouli’s solo exhibition titled ‘Master of Dreams’. “Juxtaposing Past, Present And Future” By Faten Mostafa, Juxtaposition is the act of positioning two or more things side by side or close together as per the Merriam Webster dictionary. In visual arts, juxtaposition entails making the ordinary look extraordinary and represents one of the essential techniques in the Surrealism art movement. For example, overlapping two images together in impossible combinations.

“Mere Real Things”: February 15th until March 11th.
In “Mere Real Things,” Ayman Ramadan takes on the role of the artist-curator, assembling a selection of utilitarian and decorative household items and rendering them useless by displaying them in an exhibition space. Such objects and decorations were once commonplace in middle-class homes and shops across Egypt.
